fiogf49gjkf0d Omron Automation India, a part of Omron Japan (one of the global leaders in automation technology), has strengthened its efforts to expand its business in Maharashtra this fiscal year. As a part of this endeavour, the company co-organised The Catalyst, a business-to-business (B2B) seminar, with OEM Workshop in Pune.
The Catalyst is a series of technical seminars held by the company across India to educate its customers and industry decision-makers on its platform, Sysmac, and other solutions in industrial automation for better machines and leaner production.
Sysmac is an acronym which stands for System for Machine Automation Control. It is a robust and versatile automation platform that has got immense utility, not only in food and beverages, but in other sectors as well.
It denotes true integration by enabling one machine control through one network and one software. NJ-Series MAC integrates logic, motion, vision and safety on EtherCAT as one of the fastest networks, while the software, Sysmac Studio, includes configuration, programming, simulation and monitoring. The Catalyst seminar was attended by about 200 participants, who comprised the technical teams of original equipment manufacturers (OEM), end customers and channel partners.
The seminar, with the OEM workshop, was aimed at providing hands-on experience on Sysmac Platform to understand its usage and advantages in a real-time environment and to showcase the complete range of Omron’s factory automation products and solutions. The workshop was attended by 20-25 key technical members from various customers.
Sameer Gandhi, managing director, Omron Automation India, said, “The Catalyst seminars are an important part of the business expansion strategy of Omron Automation in India on its unique industrial automation solution, Sysmac.”
“We have already conducted several of these seminars in Mumbai and New Delhi successfully. Maharashtra is one of the most industrialised states in India, and Pune plays an integral role in this by being the premier hub for varied manufacturing facilities such as automotive, engineering and electronics and electrical parts,” he added.
“Owing to this miscellany and the wide scope of work, we find it an ideal destination to reach out to a wider base of OEM as well as end customers based out of the city and adjoining areas such as Pimpdi Chinchwad, Thane and Suburban Mumbai,” Gandhi stated.
“It is our continuous endeavour to keep our automation partner ecosystem informed about the new developments, innovations and their utilisation. Such kinds of sessions play an important role in not only achieving this, but also in portraying our strengths as complete automation partners,” he added.
