Manjushree Technopack, Reliance Industries to organise FuturePac on Sat

Manjushree Technopack Ltd, in association with Reliance Industries, is organising ‘FuturePac’ an industry-focussed ‘seminar-cum-networking-event’ at the Sheraton Hotel at Brigade Gateway, Bengaluru, on Saturday, August 23, 2014.

The theme for this year’s event is ‘Emerging Trends in Plastic Bottle Technology for Dairy Packaging.’ The event will commence at 2 pm and end at 8 pm with a panel discussion.

The event, according to the organisers, is expected to provide learning experience of the latest innovations in the packaging space. There will be presentations by industry leaders on the world-class solutions to address packaging requirements. In addition, the event will also highlight the latest trends, offerings and solutions for packaging technology in dairy. A panel discussion on ‘Does the Indian dairy sector require ‘the plastic bottle’ going into 2020’will be held.

The keynote address by Dr N C Saha, director, Indian Institute of Packaging, Mumbai. There are seven sessions addressing the notable developments in the packaging arena. The first session will be on downstream readiness to adopt ‘the plastic bottle’ by Anup Bagchi, sr vice-president, Reliance Industries Ltd. The second session will cover plastic bottles for milk packaging – decoded by Rajat Kedia, director, Manjushree Technopack. The third session will be on aseptic filling and packaging technology by Shrikant Agarkar, GEA Procomac, Italy.

The fourth session will address on the next generation bottling and filling technology by Paul Schönheit, project engineer, aseptic technology, Krones AG, Germany.

The fifth session is on the cost-effective aseptic technology by Mike Rockell, director, Xenos Aseptic Bottling Systems, New Zealand. The sixth session will highlight the terminal sterilisation of ESL (Extended Shelf Life) milk by Anand Kotwal, director, Machinfabrik Retort Systems. The seventh session will be on solutions for extended shelf life of dairy products in PET by A K Sahoo, ColorMatrix (Europe).

The panel discussion on ‘Does the Indian dairy sector require ‘the plastic bottle’ going into 2020?’ will have Rahul Kumar Srivastava, CEO, Tirumala Milk (Lactalis India); Devendra Shah, CMD, Parag Milk Foods; Rajeev Bhakhri, head (technical), Britannia Industries; Dr Satish Kulkarni, head, National Dairy Research Institute; and A Mahendran, former MD, Godrej Consumer Products, deliberate and provide a roadmap for the future.
