Anwar lauds NAARM role in capacity building for communication with farmers

fiogf49gjkf0d NAARM has an important role to play in capacity building using the latest information so that scientists can effectively transfer and communicate with farmers, according to Tariq Anwar, Union minister of state for agriculture and food processing industries. He was visiting the National Academy of Agricultural Research Management (NAARM), Hyderabad, on Monday.
According to a press release, Anwar addressed the staff of NAARM. He mentioned the challenges facing Indian agriculture and the policies of the Government of India in ameliorating the problems of the farming community.
Dr S L Goswami, director, NAARM, apprised the minister of the different programmes at NAARM and the initiatives proposed in the coming years.
Anwar visited various facilities at NAARM such as the GIS laboratory and mini-exhibition that showcased the activities at NAARM and ICAR institutes located in Hyderabad.
