PepsiCo's Frito-Lay, US, launches 6 Grain Medley snacks in two flavours

SunChips, the line of multigrain snacks from PepsiCo's Frito-Lay division in the US, recently launched a new taste experience with the introduction of SunChips 6 Grain Medley snacks.
Available in two flavours: Parmesan & Herb and Creamy Roasted Garlic, the new product is inspired by real food flavours and made with a combination of six flavourful grains, including corn, wheat, oats, brown rice, buckwheat and quinoa. They can be enjoyed with a variety of toppings and dips or as a delicious snack all on their own.
"For many, snacking offers a welcome break from a busy day, and consumers are looking for snack options that fit into a balanced lifestyle," said Tony Matta, vice-president, marketing, Frito-Lay North America. "Consumers today are looking for snacks that provide whole grains and fibre, and are made with all natural ingredients, while tasting great. New SunChips 6 Grain Medley multigrain snacks offer a delicious taste experience inspired by real foods, containing 100 per cent whole grains and are made with all-natural ingredients - no artificial flavours, preservatives or MSG.."
Each serving of the snack contains 21 grams of whole grains, nearly half of the 48 daily grams recommended by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA).
Both flavours of the product are cooked in healthier oils like, sunflower oil and corn oil, which are high in polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats (the "good" fats), lower in saturated fat (the "bad" fats) and contain 0 grams of "bad" trans fats.
