Last year, this popular biryani chain announced its plan of opening a few delivery joints, when Covid-19 started to spread throughout the world affecting our lives drastically leaving the gastronomes with no choice but ordering food online.

It is a widely popular brand in West Bengal, known for its special Mughlai/Awadhi cuisine. This brand started its journey in 1929 with a very small outlet in Zakaria Street, Kolkata. With the foundation of their oldest and largest building in Futnani Chamber on August 15, 1947, this brand started writing a new tale in the gastronomic history of the city of joy. With the passing time, this brand expanded establishing outlets all across West Bengal. Presently they have a total of 10 outlets including the new one.

Coming to its food, the brand serves authentic Mughlai/Awadhi cuisine. The signature dishes  include Kolkata Special Biryani, Chicken/ Mutton Chaap, Chicken/ Mutton Rezala, and last but not the list Special Mutton Curry, which was developed during the early ’90s. “We are witnessing a fresh surge of Covid-19 cases in the state. The Strict 8 months lockdown in 2020 hugely impacted the F&B industry. In the latter half of the lockdown, we observed a good spike in the delivery business, that is when we decided to open a few delivery joints across the city,” Said Kabir Azher.

The brand is adhering to all the safety norms as instructed by the government. They also check the temperature of the delivery executive and attach the details in the food packet.
