Pristine Organic, which manufactures organic and nutritional products using a wide variety of broad diverse crops, has launched a range of organic millet-based food products.

Millets are one of the ancient and oldest foods known to mankind. This super crop has reclaimed its importance in the current scenario of global warming and food security and is recommended by renowned nutritionists and chefs across the world for its rich dietary fibre and nutritionally superior grain.

Pristine’s range comprises a variety of certified millet-based organic food products, including cereals, biscuits, porridge, flour, baby food and nutritional supplements.

Pristine’s all-in-one healthy breakfast cereals give a traditional Indian twist to conventional breakfast cereals. They contain no added sugar and are minimally processed.

Pristine’s millet cereals comprise three varieties – Mixed Millet Flakes and Ragi Flakes, along with Corn Flakes (as corn is not a millet). The brand also comprises Mixed Millet Porridge.

Pristine’s Millet biscuits are made using a combination of five different millets. They are rich in fibre, mono-unsaturated fatty acids (MUFA) and poly-unsaturated fatty acids (PUFA), low in glycaemic Index and are trans-fat-free.

Pristine Mixed Millet biscuits, Oven Organica, are known for the higher fibre content (15g) vis-a-vis the other brands of fibre-rich biscuits available in the market today (which contain just 9g).

The company also sells a variety of certified baby food, such as 1st Bites, for different stages (as per the age group) and Poushtik nutritional supplements for family, like Balance Active, Balance PL (for preganant and lactating mothers) and Balance HP under the millet product range.

The prices vary between Rs 95 and Rs 240. The products are available on the company’s website.

The 25-year-old company is engaged in research and development (R&D) and manufacturing of organic and nutritional fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and anti-inborn errors of metabolism (IEM) products.

It is the only Indian company that manufactures critical IEM diets for babies. Its product range also includes organic daily foods, nutraceuticals, functional foods, medical and metabolic diets and paediatric supplements.
