Yazu, the Pan Asian Supper Club, is a space for socialising and dining. It is the brainchild of the powerful restaurant triumvirate of Gurmeet Arora, the man behind brands such as Tryst, Doppio, Soi 69 and Flax; Ranbir Nagpal, hotel management graduate, who has run his family business of real estate, dairy products and ice cream, and Atul Chopra, former owner of Three Wise Men.
Perfection always stems from passion is the mantra they live by, and everything on the menu is a reflection of their convergence on that point - a love for good food. The focus has been on bringing alive recipes by delicately balancing tradition and modernity. The menu may be extensive, but attention to detail is visible in all the dishes right from presentation to optimal use of quality ingredients.
Patrons can opt for a host of Asian delicacies at the restaurant, whose new menu comprises an interesting array of food combinations.
When it comes to small plates, an aspect that is an integral part of clubs, Yazu will offer Eggplant Bao, Salt and Pepper Calamari, Som Tam- Thai raw Papaya Salad, Hamachi Carpaccio and Vegetable Potsticker.
A wide array of dim-sums, mock meat dumplings, and Cheung fun, as well as Uramaki, Sashimi, Carpaccio, Nigiri, and Aburi are also present on the menu.
Other offerings include Black Treasure Dumplings, Soft Shell Crabs with fired Manteo, Crispy Prawn Cheung Fun, Pork Shoyu Ramen Bowl and Malaysian Chicken Satay.
The desserts are also classic dishes that have been given a signature pan-Asian twist. These include Chef's Mess.
The menu also includes cocktails and mocktails such as Bloody Mary, Green Jade Garden, Yazu Spiced Gin and Tonic, and Orange and Strawberry Mojito.
