Quarter Plate by chef Kunal Kapur has unveiled the jackfruit festival, a unique limited edition special menu celebrating the versatility and distinct flavours of jackfruit. Running from May 20 to June 10, 2024. Jackfruit, a staple in many Indian households, is celebrated for its versatility and unique texture, often used in both savoury and sweet dishes.

Kapur's innovative approach elevates jackfruit, transforming it into gourmet delicacies that redefine traditional Indian cuisine with sophistication and creativity. The festival will serve as a platform for culinary exploration and creativity, where each dish not only delights the palate but also narrates a tale of sustainability, diversity, and cultural heritage.

This festival features a specially curated menu- Jackfruit Galauti - A tender and succulent dish served with sour cream, raw mango, and passion fruit chutney. The combination of savoury and sweet flavours creates a delightful start to the meal; Jackfruit Seekh Kebab - For those seeking a plant-based alternative to traditional kebabs, the Jackfruit Seekh Kebab is a must-try. Enhanced with pistachios for a crunchy texture, these kebabs are hearty and packed with flavour; Jackfruit Nihari - A modern take on Nihari blends Indian and Middle Eastern influences. Slow-cooked to perfection, this nihari is served with Zaatar sourdough Kulcha, offering a unique twist by incorporating jackfruit into a classic dish; Jackfruit Tawa Pulao - The Jackfruit Tawa Pulao rounds off the menu, providing a vibrant and aromatic rice dish cooked on a tawa. Served with a rich gravy and a refreshing raita, this dish captures the festival's approach to comfort food with a jackfruit twist.
