Reinforcing its globally acknowledged Responsible Luxury ethos that seeks to create a better and secure world, ITC Hotels has announced the launch of its pathbreaking ‘WeAssure’ initiative.
In a first for the hospitality industry, the discerning guests of the brand will be reassured by an accreditation by National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH) - the leading standards organisation for sanitation, hygiene, safety and infection control practices.

The brand is also partnering with DNV GL Business Assurance, one of the world’s leading certification bodies, to ensure stringent clinical levels of hygiene and safety. These assurance certifications will stand testimony to the rigorous hygiene protocol being put in place to ensure the safety of guests and associates at the hotel, across India.

“We are committed to delivering world-class luxury experiences that address the most important needs of wellbeing and safety through responsible practices that are immensely relevant in the unprecedented circumstances we face today,” stated Nakul Anand, executive director, ITC Ltd.

“‘WeAssure’ is a unique programme designed in collaboration with medical professionals and disinfection experts to further enhance the existing hygiene & cleaning protocols. The stringent programme specifications reassure guests of visibly stringent cleanliness and disinfection processes which benchmark clinically hygienic standards, offering guests’ unparalleled comfort with peace of mind,” he added.

With many "Industry Firsts" to its credit, the programme is set to redefine the cleanliness protocol.

The accreditation by NABH will enhance existing procedures and controls in the area of sanitation, hygiene, safety and infection control thereby conforming to hospital level hygiene standards.

DNV GL Business Assurance, a body that helps businesses assure the performance of their organisation, is evaluating a model, built around the three pillars of - Health, Hygiene and Safety. This will help the brand achieve higher levels of maturity around all facets of operations.

The programme addresses all facets of hotel operations. From revised protocols for back of the house activity at the receiving store, back offices, laundry to the public areas with heightened sanitisation measures for guest luggage, elevators to room service.

‘Lavanderia’ responsible laundry experiences

ITC hotels has launched ‘Lavanderia’, an initiative that offers impeccable contact light laundry services with strict monitoring of safety and hygiene norms at each step.

It allows customers to hand over the items at a designated point at the hotel. The laundry would be ready for pick up by the customer within 24 hours, where the customer would be intimated via a message which would include a payment link to enable contactless payment.

The entire process remains contact light with safe distancing at every point.
Anil Chadha, COO, ITC Hotels, said, “At ITC Hotels, we are committed to delivering world class experiences through the responsible luxury ethos. Lavanderia is one such initiative that addresses the requirements of the present times by bringing our customers well researched and thought through solutions. We endeavour to bring them a clean and hygienic laundry service that follows sustainable practices embedded in the process that works on a contact light service design.”

“Our associates have undertaken special training programmes to understand and enable these services through a defined protocol that adheres to stringent quality and safety checks,” he added.

Crafted with care and handled with utmost hygiene to ensure well-being, the mindfully curated services are available pan-India at ITC Hotels in Delhi, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Vishakhapatnam and Chennai. More destinations shall be added by the end of the month.

The laundry services may be accessed by city residents.
