Fine dine, bar and rooftop M.I.T.R.O.N opens outlets in Bandra & Fort

M.I.T.R.O.N, the fine dine, bar and rooftop chain, has opened two outlets in Mumbai. These are located in Bandra and Fort. The new additions take the fine dine’s outlets to four.

Open between noon and 1:30am, the outlets are the brainchild of Rahul Shetty, director, Peninsula Franchise.  

Bandra
Spread over an area of 7,000sq ft, the Bandra outpost, located at Linking Road, has been designed by one of India’s leading architects, Umesh Desai and Associates, it boasts of a specially-designed lounge area, and a menu the encapsulates the quintessential dishes from the major cuisines across the world.

Crafted by chef Arindam who has over 24 years of culinary experience, the menu has it all, including an array of classic and elaborate Indian and Chinese soups and Salads of Paradise, including Lobster Coral, Avocado Nachos Crunch, Scamorza Spinach and Cold Mezzah.

The Starters and Tandoor section features dishes like Mushroom Duxelle, Water Chestnut Spring Roll, Zaatar Chicken, Crab Cake, Squid Ala Plancha or the classic BBQ Chicken Wings.

The mains range from Indian dishes and Continental Shepherd's Pie and Polenta in Mushroom Ragu to Spanish Paella and some Asian delicacies.

The Pasta section displays dishes like Smoked Duck Aglio Olio, Tagliatelle Supreme Chicken, Popertelle Mushroom Puttanesca, etc. For fast food junkies, there is a glorious section of all-day pizzas and sandwiches, consisting of unconventional options like the Malaysian Sambal Olic, Soya Kheema Pizza and the French Veg Submarine.

Patrons can end their meal with off-beat desserts such as Melba Pudding, and Carrot Laddu in Hot Coconut Payasam.

The cocktail menu is sub-divided into four broad categories, namely Classic, Signature, Fresh Fruit and LIITs. The diverse menu includes everything from classic cocktails like Martini, Daiquiri; Signature cocktails like D Funk, M.I.T.R.O.N New Fashion or the fresh fruit ones like Litchi Swirl, and Supernova.

Fort
The Fort outpost of M.I.T.R.O.N is located at Hutatma Chowk, and boasts of a menu that is unique to the branch.

Curated by chef Md Mirajul Molla, the menu here offers multiple variants across courses and cuisines. It comprises soups, salads, starters, Italy’s finest dishes, flatbreads, kebabs, pastas, risottos and Caribbean Lamb Stew.

Their appeasing mains borrow from the best of Indian (Butter Chicken, Kadhai Masala and Kukkad Dum Biryani); Indonesian (Nasi Goreng) and Thai (Thai Curry).

The all-day sandwich and burger section start with something as simply genius as a Peanut Butter and Jam sandwich, and carries its way through a Chunky Tuna Boiled Egg Sandwich.

Expanding on the breads section, the burgers here are a delight for the eyes and the soul. It includes options ranging from the vegetarian Smoked Vegetable Burger to the non-vegetarian Lamb Mint Feta Burger. Those with a sweet tooth can opt for the special dessert of the day.

The all-day diner also takes care of your mid-morning cravings with its modern breakfast component, serving classics like Toast Breads and Eggs Benedict on one hand, and Barley Avocado Lassi on the other.

It has a beverage menu comprising tipsy cocktails, refreshing mocktails and other fine beverages. It includes fizzy beers, classic malts, tequila shots, whiskey by the bottle and breezers for the light drinkers. One can also opt for champagne or a glass of red wine.
