DRDO inks 21 licence agreements on technology transfer with 15 companies

Defence Research Development Organization (DRDO) inked 21 licence agreements on technology transfer with 15 companies at the Defexpo 2018, a defence exposition, held in Chennai recently.
Dr S Christopher, chairman, DRDO, and secretary, department of defence, R&D; exchanged the licence agreements on technology transfer with 15 MSME and SME industries for transfer of 21 food technologies.
Dr Shashi Bala Singh, scientist & director-general (life sciences); Dr R K Sharma, director, Defence Food Research Laboratory, Mysuru; Dr Mayank Dwivedi, director, Industry Interface & Technology Management (DIITM); Dr G K Sharma, associate director, DFRL; Dr Anil Dutt Semwal, associate director, DFRL, Mysuru; and Dr M Pal Murugan, scientist D; were present.
The 21 technologies for the 15 companies were Millet Ragi-Based Products for Advansz Technologies, Karnataka, led by Uma Maheswari Velu, proprietor. Retort Pouch Processed Foods, Keep Fresh Salt and Process for enhancing shelf life of fresh mutton at room temperature by Ahmednagar District Goat Rearing and Processing Coop. Fed. Ltd, Maharashtra, led by Ashok Kale, chairman.
Coco-Cocoa Delight Bar for Christry Fried Gram Industry, Tamil Nadu, represented by R Raja Ram Mohan, general manager, purchase. Shelf-stable with no preservative chapatis for Evolution Sports Nutrition Private Limited, Maharashtra, led by Dr Rishika Narula, director. Retort Pouch Processed Foods,High Energy Bar and Shelf-stable with no preservative chapatis for Goodrich Cereals, Haryana, led by Rohit Gupta, managing director.

Flax Oat Tasty Barby by Rasi Nutri Foods, Tamil Nadu, represented by T Thiruvenkata Prabhu, manager, purchase. Preserved Sugarcane Juice by Ruju Business, Karnataka Specialities led by J Prasanna, director.

Dr Singh stated that all the industry partners should make use of DFRL-DRDO technological knowhow to provide nutritional security to the country.
