DFRL to conduct PGD in food analysis & quality assurance from Sept 2016

fiogf49gjkf0d Defence Food Research Laboratory, Mysore, is now offering post-graduate diploma course in food analysis and quality assurance. It has invited applications for admission to the course, which will start in September 2016 at its campus. The course is of 10 months duration and is recognised by the University of Mysore. Twenty-five seats are available for admission. The selection is based on written test/interview.
According to DFRL, the last date for receipt of completed application forms is August 17, 2016. The candidates will need to have a degree in science with chemistry/biochemistry as one of the subjects or B.Sc. degree in agriculture or veterinary science or B.Sc. in food science & technology/ home science/nutrition and dietetics/food and nutrition/food science and nutrition from a recognised university securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate or equivalent.
The syllabus for the written test will be based on the following subjects studied at the degree level. It will include chemistry, biochemistry, agriculture, veterinary science, home science, nutrition & dietetics, food & nutrition, food science & technology, food science and nutrition.
Candidates keen to pursue the course could get the application form and prospectus from the director, DFRL, Siddarthanagar, Mysore – 570 011, on payment of Rs 100 by demand draft drawn in favour of director, DFRL, Mysore. No other mode of payment is acceptable. Applications can also be downloaded from the website: www.drdo.org/labs/dfrl-prospectus and submitted along with DD as above.
