Culinary Arts Academy Switzerland, a member of Swiss Education Group (SEG), the largest private hospitality educator in Switzerland, has been recognised for its culinary and pastry programmes, by the prestigious World Association of Chefs’ Societies (Worldchefs). Culinary Arts Academy Switzerland is the first school in the European nation to earn the Recognition of Quality Culinary Education mark, an international endorsement that is renowned in the culinary world.
Worldchefs is a global network of chefs associations that was founded in October 1928 at the Sorbonne in Paris. It is a leading authority on food, dedicated to maintaining and improving the culinary standards of cuisines worldwide. Today, this international body has over 100 chefs’ associations, representing chefs at all levels and across all specialities globally.
The first honorary president of the association was Auguste Escoffier, the first executive chef of the Ritz Paris, who inspired the establishment of the Ritz Escoffier culinary school within the famous hotel. Culinary Arts Academy Switzerland has a long-standing partnership with the Ritz Paris. Another notable honorary member of Worldchefs is Anton Mosimann, another exclusive partner of Swiss Education Group.
“We are extremely proud and honoured to meet the high standards required to be a part of this distinguished community. This recognition reinforces the world-class quality of our academic programmes, our training facilities and our chefs/lecturers at Culinary Arts Academy Switzerland. We look forward to greater collaboration and synergies with Worldchefs as we continue to further develop our school as a global leader in culinary education,” commented John Daly, director, quality assurance, Swiss Education Group.
The Worldchefs Recognition of Quality Culinary Education programme was launched in 2010 in response to a growing demand to establish international standards in culinary education.
Culinary Arts Academy Switzerland’s academic programmes were reviewed thoroughly by Worldchefs’ review panel in matters relating to global standards for quality, evaluation of leadership, instructors, facilities, lesson delivery, industry and educational support, food safety and more.
