CAMPCO contributes Rs 5 crore to National Defence Fund in support of nation's security efforts

The Central Arecanut & Cocoa Marketing & Processing Co-operative (CAMPCO), has contributed Rs 5 crore to National Defence Fund (NDF), in support of nation's security efforts. The co-operative in its communication note stated it has once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to the country in view of the recent escalation of national security concerns and the heightened vigilance along the borders.
In a statement, A Kishore Kumar Kodgi, president, CAMPCO, said, "We have always stood at the forefront of national service and humanitarian contributions. In the past too, we have extended financial support to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund during times of natural disasters and national emergencies. At this crucial juncture, when our Armed Forces are bravely defending the country against terrorism and external threats, it is our moral duty to stand with them. On behalf of CAMPCO and the entire farming community we represent, we are proud to contribute Rs 5 crore to the National Defence Fund."
“The National Defence Fund, administered by the Government of India, is dedicated to the welfare of Armed Forces and Para-Military personnel and their dependents. A donation of Rs 5 crore has been made by CAMPCO by way of a cheque drawn on the State Bank of India CAMPCO, a co-operative institution of Arecanut and Cocoa Growers, has a legacy of social responsibility and farmer-centric values, and remains committed to supporting national causes during times of need,” said the communication from the CAMPCO managing director’s office.
