BigBasket, India’s largest online supermarket, has collaborated with Mumbai-based start-up Letsallhelp as the supplies and logistics partner for its recently-launched online social impact platform, letsallHelp.org.

As a part of this, the company will work closely with them to manage the procurement and delivery of donated products to beneficiaries. BigBasket will also help the brand in its marketing, corporate and employee-related initiatives.

Through the letsallhelp.org platform, individuals can choose products and quantities they wish to contribute. These will be delivered by bigbasket to each beneficiary at the end of the month.

Donors will get proof of the delivery as impact proof with a photo when the products are delivered. Through this initiative, individuals would be able to impact lives in a meaningful way and rejoice in the goodness of giving.

A hundred per cent of the contributions made through Letsallhelp’s online platform reach the intended beneficiaries every month without any deductions, administration fees or platform fees.

India aims to become one of the largest economies in the world, but millions of underprivileged and underserved people in the country still sleep hungry and are void of personal hygiene – the root cause of many diseases.

Zero hunger and good health are two of the 17 sustainable development goals defined by the United Nations to transform India. The partnership will not only increase awareness on these aspects, but also help in creating an impactful giving platform.

Speaking about this, Abhinay Choudhari, co-founder and head, new initiatives, BigBasket, said, “BigBasket is committed to bringing about social awareness and contributing to initiatives that have a positive impact on individuals and the society at large.”

“Our association with Letsallhelp is a part of this commitment and we hope to bring about happiness in the lives of those who are underserved. Our long experience in managing logistics will help add to the promise of reliability, transparency and trust of our social impact partner,” he added.

“We are delighted to be associated with the brand’s vision and are sure that our relationship will grow from strength to strength to create a big social impact,” Choudhari said.
Adding his comments, Premal Shah, changemaker and founder, LetsAllHelp.org, said, “LetsAllHelp is thrilled to announce its partnership with bigbasket. We believe in the idea of giving more than what you get from the society.”

“We thus wanted to create a platform where donors have 100 per cent trust, transparency and know the impact they are making through their contributions,” he added.

“Through our platform, donors get an opportunity to contribute towards helping the underprivileged and underserved and feel good about the impact they are making.  Each one of us can be a changemaker towards creating a society we have always dreamed of - one where everyone is content, healthy and happy,” Shah added.

BigBasket has been a part of several CSR initiatives in the past. Some of these include Daan Utsav, a Go Green initiative where a sapling was delivered along with every order placed to revive Mumbai’s green belt, and its tie-ups with various volunteer-based organisations like the Robin Hood Army, Goonj and GiveIndia.

The e-tail giant is creating milestones in the online retail market and is currently the one-stop-shop for all kinds of products, with industry-leading delivery turnaround of within two hours. The company’s operations have expanded to 26 cities in India recording a registered customer base of over 15 million.
