Berggruen Hotels, part of the $2-billion Los Angeles-based Berggruen Group, has launched its Keys Select hotel in Tarabai Park, Kolhapur. It is Keys’ seventh property in western India. It also marked Keys’ first launch of the quarter. Berggruen Hotels currently has 21 hotels in 19 cities of India.
Roshan Uchil, head of operations, Berggruen Hotels, said, “Kolhapur is an important market for Keys Hotels. The city boasts thriving industrial clusters and is also a bustling stopover destination en route to industrial and tourism hubs like Hyderabad, Bangalore, Goa, Tirupati, Mumbai and Pune.”
“These factors have led to the growth of a strong corporate consumer base and the new hotel will help Keys consolidate its position in this vital market and establish a stronger foothold in the broader western region,” he added.
Guests staying at the hotel can also choose from a carefully-curated, a multi-cuisine menu that includes local favourites like Tamabada Rassa (a red-hot and spicy mutton soup), Pandhara Rassa (coconut milk-based mutton soup), Kolhapuri Mutton Masal and Mutton Sukke (tender pieces of lamb meat cooked with traditional flavours) and the Maharashtrian staple, Pithla Bhakri.
Additionally, guests can choose from Keys Hotels’ signature GharKaSwad menu, comprising wholesome dishes cooked home-style. All the dishes are prepared by the hotel’s expert chefs, and guests can choose to enjoy them either at the terrace restaurants or the Keys Cafe coffee shop or in their rooms.
