Copenhagen Sparkling Tea officially stepped into India’s premium retail segment with the launch of its direct-to-consumer platform, www.sparklingtea.in on May 1, 2025. Following a soft rollout in late April, the brand has now opened access to its curated range of non-alcoholic sparkling teas through online delivery, allowing Indian consumers to experience what was once reserved for some of the world’s most refined restaurants and five-star hotels.

Brought to India by Bebida Hospitality Private Limited, led by founders Varun Sahni, Nadia Sood, Latika Nath, and Siddhaarth Jalan, the initiative marks a shift in how sophisticated beverages are introduced in the country. With an initial presence in Mumbai and Delhi-NCR, and the logistical capability to serve customers nationwide, the team is gradually building reach without compromising on authenticity or intent.

Crafted in Denmark using up to 13 varieties of organic tea leaves and a proprietary infusion technique, it has been served at over 80 Michelin-starred restaurants globally. Now, the same elegance is available at home, keeping the process, character and finish intact.

It has already made its mark in the luxury hospitality space, first introduced by the IHCL group into its marquée Taj properties; it can now be found at the finest hotels and restaurants across India from Rishikesh to Hyderabad to Kolkata. In Mumbai, at Taj Mahal Palace Mumbai, Taj Lands End, JW Marriott Mumbai, Papa’s, Masque, The Oberoi Mumbai and in Delhi at Taj Mahal, Taj Palace, The Oberoi, JW Marriott Aerocity, The Leela Delhi and other luxury hotels and renowned restaurants.

Sahni said, “We are thrilled to introduce Copenhagen Sparkling Tea to India, a luxurious and sophisticated beverage brand that redefines the art of tea-making. There’s a growing community in India that’s seeking options which align with conscious consumption without giving up sophistication or pleasure. Copenhagen Sparkling Tea isn’t trying to imitate wine or champagne. It holds its own, with layers of flavour, balance, and texture that come from careful blending and a meticulous brewing process. We brought it to market with care, not commotion. No fanfare, no large events. Instead, we’ve relied on real conversations, our hospitality partnerships, and the quiet confidence of those who try it once and return.”

Sood said, “Copenhagen Sparkling Tea is a celebration of elegance that’s perfect for day-to-day moments. It is for those who seek elegance and beauty not just in terms of taste but also in terms of experience. With this launch, we are introducing India to a ritual of refined indulgence—tea but not as you know it! Whether it's a quiet moment of solitude or a celebration with loved ones, Copenhagen Sparkling Tea adds a touch of refinement and poise to every experience.”

Jalan said, “Indian consumers are increasingly seeking unique and premium experiences that reflect their refined tastes and values. Copenhagen Sparkling Tea caters to this growing demand, offering a sophisticated and luxurious beverage option that combines elegance with a mindful approach to consumption.”

Nath said, "Copenhagen Sparkling Tea is a refreshing take on modern luxury- thoughtful, elegant, and crafted with care. At Bebida, we believe in bringing experiences that go beyond trends, and this sparkling tea fits perfectly into that vision. It’s not just a non-alcoholic drink; it’s a new way to celebrate, one that blends wellness with sophistication. As Indian consumers look for more mindful and refined choices, we’re proud to offer something truly unique that speaks to global taste and everyday elegance.”
