fiogf49gjkf0d Submarine sandwich chain Subway opened the first outlet in India with its new Metro décor in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The store has a spacious interior with chic lighting and modern-age sitting area, and is filled with aroma of freshly baked bread. Its lighting fixtures are modern, and the black laminate floors are wood-toned.
“Metro decor is an upscale decor, opted by franchisees internationally to elevate customer experience. This brings Subway India at par with the changing trends of the industry and enhances the brand’s identity amongst customers, suppliers and competitors,” said Gurpreet Gulri, country head, Subway India.
“Gujarat is likely to become a major market for Subway in the coming years. The outlet is Subway’s 39th restaurant in Ahmedabad and 400th in the country overall. The brand plans to roll out 14 more outlets in the next six months, and over 50 restaurants by the end of fiscal year 2014,” said Durlabh Singh, development agent of Subway's franchise for Ahmedabad.
