Ruchi Soya Industries Limited, one of the leading manufacturers of edible oils in India, has signed actress Priyanka Upendra as the brand ambassador for its sunflower oil brand Sunrich.

The company announced that it would shortly be unveiling a mass media campaign featuring her. Sunrich was recently launched in South India, Maharashtra and West Bengal.

The unique selling proposition (USP) of Sunrich is that it undergoes seven stages of refinement, has added vitamins, absorbs 15 per cent less and has zero cholesterol. According to Satendra Aggarwal, Ruchi Soya’s chief operating officer, “Sunrich is a brand that stands for health and wellness.”

“We have highlighted this through our new campaign, which would be telecast on leading regional channels. Upendra’s personality was a perfect fit for Sunrich and hence, we have   taken her on board as the brand ambassador for Sunrich,” he added.

“Our communication for Sunrich clearly communicates Sunrich refined sunflower oil’s superior quality,” said Alok Mahajan, head of marketing, popular division, Ruchi Soya. The new Sunrich refined sunflower oil is clearer, lighter and healthier. It contains Vitamins A, D and E.

The new Sunrich refined sunflower oil is available in 500ml and one-litre pouches, two-litre and five-litre jars and 15-litre bulk packs (both jars and tins). It is available at all grocery stores, neighbourhood kirana stores, general stores, modern retail chains, supermarkets and standalone self-service stores.

The company has secured access to oil palm plantations in India and other key regions globally, making it one of the highest exporters of soy meal, lecithin and other food ingredients from India.
