Speaking at the launch, Kakkar, said, “Karnataka is a favourable destination for businesses. The availability of land and raw materials such as high quality coconut to package coconut water in its purest form motivated us to set up our second plant in Mysore. Putting together our learnings from the Manesar plant, we have designed this facility in a way it offers the scope to scale as we grow, which was a challenge in our first facility. We see the Mysore facility supporting us to strengthen our distribution and supply in southern and western parts of the country.”

He added, “The Mysore plant will provide the required impetus to the company to expand its presence to Chennai, Mumbai, Pune and Hyderabad this year. We also plan to scale our operations to 50 cities in a year’s time.”

Kakkar elaborated, “The company has aggressive growth plans and aims to build its brand through new product launches, exploring newer geographies, improving distribution and also by identifying new-age channels to make these products available anywhere.”

The Mysore facility is built on five acres of land, with high-end and fully automated machinery from Europe, Asia and other parts of the world so that beverage taste as good as home-made. The state-of-the-art facility is the first in the beverage industry to operate in ‘class 10K environment,’ which is usually an environment in which pharmaceutical facilities manufacture, in order to ensure highest levels of safety and quality standards.

With the growing product portfolio and to cater to the existing range of beverages, the plant has been designed to be highly adaptable, with capabilities to package newer products such as coconut milk and coconut water. It can handle various processes simultaneously and cater to various types of products such as milk, juices, tea leaves, fruits with seeds, and fruits without seed.

The company has plans to launch six new variants of packaged traditional drinks before August 2015 at this plant. They are exporting to the US, the UK, France, Canada, Australia, the Netherlands, the UAE, Malaysia and many other countries.
