Wadhwa appointed director of sales and marketing at Sofitel Mumbai BKC

AccorHotels has appointed Pankaj Wadhwa as Sofitel Mumbai BKC’s new director of sales and marketing. He will be responsible for leading and further improving all aspects of the sales and marketing communications, promoting brand strategies and providing the best of Sofitel hospitality experience to the guests.
Wadhwa has been in the hospitality industry for over 18 years. An alumnus from the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM) Ahmedabad, he started his career with Hotel Trident Udaipurin May 1999 and thereafter worked with Hyatt Regency Mumbai and Pune, Novotel Mumbai Juhu Beach, The Park Hotels, Intercontinental The Grand Mumbai and Grand Hyatt Delhi.
His understanding of the hospitality industry is critical to his new role. Commenting on his appointment,Biswajit Chakroborty, general manager, Sofitel Mumbai BKC, said, “We are pleased to have Wadhwa lead our sales efforts at the hotel. His key expertise lies in developing and implementing sales strategies in sync with market conditions, client engagement, revenue and team management that makes him the ideal choice for this role.”
