Influential Leader in Pkg Industry Recognition awarded to Chakravarthi

The Most Influential Leader in Packaging Industry Recognition was recently accorded to Chakravarthi AVPS, a Hyderabad-based industrialist and packaging professional. The honour was conferred upon him at the National Congress and Awards for Sustainable Exports and Packaging held here recently.
Chakravarthi, who is global ambassador of 51 years old World Packaging Organization, a non-governmental, international federation of national packaging institutes and associations, was chosen for the award in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the industry and his unstinted role in promoting packaging as a respectful and responsible profession. The board of jury unanimously chose him for his yeoman service to the chosen field. Chakravarthi is one of the few Hyderabad-based packaging professionals with global recognition. He has three-and-a-half decades of experience in paper, printing and packaging fields.
Further, he is an invited speaker at many national and international industry events, forums and discussion groups. He is on the advisory board industry-related summits, congresses and forums consisting of senior professionals from the industry,
Chakravarthi publishes articles in various magazines, journals and speaks on various international platforms in around 25 countries. He mentors and chairs many programmes benefiting the industry. He is invited to be the jury for various national & international awards.
AVPS, as he is known in the industry, also served as the chairman of Indian Institute of Packaging, Hyderabad, a local chapter of the national apex body set up by the packaging and allied industries and the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India. He was instrumental in getting postgraduate course in packaging.
Accepting the honour bestowed upon him, Chakravarthi, stated that there have been many more senior persons working towards this cause and he is just packaging passionate and keeps promoting ‘better quality of life through better packaging for more people,’ the WPO mission.
He is also president of INBA H, an Indo-Netherlands Business Association and an honorary adviser for Pharmexcil (Pharmaceuticals Export Promotion Council of India).
