Freedom Refined Sunflower Oil organised the eighth edition of the Freedom Cookery Class by Chef Puneet Mehta, one of the finalists in the second season of MasterChef India. The Hyderabad masterclass was an initiative to provide a platform for ladies to learn exotic dishes with a healthy twist from a renowned chef. As a part of the cookery class, Mehta prepared exotic and easy to cook dishes using Freedom Refined Sunflower Oil, which is clear, light and low-absorbing, promoting guilt-free eating.

The dishes included Bajre ki Raabadi (a Rajasthani special millet soup), Egg in egg (a fusion dish), Hot n Sweet Chicken Wings, Chilli Garlic Okra, red hot harissa chicken with jalli paratha, Meat balls in hot pepper sauce with spaghetti (an Italian classic), Punjabi Winter Special like Sarson main tangdi (non-vegetarian version of famous Sarson ka Saag), Makke ki roti, Gajar, Gobhi aur Shaljan ka taaza achaar and Badam Pinniyan (a classic winter sweet from Punjab).

Mehta interacted with the participants, gave useful health and cooking tips and shared some of his most popular healthy recipes, suiting the palate and the season. People watched the recipes attentively and responded to the pop-up questions from the chef.

Speaking on the occasion, P Chandra Sekhara Reddy, vice-president, sales and marketing, Freedom Refined Sunflower Oil, said, “We have received an overwhelming response to the 8th Freedom Cookery Class. It was a pleasure watching the chef cooking various dishes and the amazing participation from the audience.”

“We are pleased to organise the event and provide the home cooks an opportunity to learn the recipes from the elite professionals as a part of this initiative. I thank Mehta for demonstrating his most popular recipes and conducting an extremely interactive session, engaging the audience and giving them the freedom to eat and enjoy,” he added.
