Bauli India steps into savoury snacking market with the launch of Bauli Savoriz

Bauli, the Italian bakery company that is renowned for its soft, sweet snack Moonfils, has officially forayed into the savoury sector with Bauli Savoriz.
It will be available in key markets including Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata, Goa, NCR and Pune, initially and extending a phased manner to each and every city of the country. It will be nationally available across all major modern trade outlets like Reliance retail, More Retail, Metro Cash & Carry, Walmart, D-Mart. It will also be present on E-commerce platforms like Grofers, BigBasket, Flipkart, Swiggy Instamart.
The product comes in two variants that are sure to satisfy those all-day snack pangs- a delectable Cheese Jalapeno filling and a flavourful Cheese Oregano filling. Sink your teeth into these soft, cheesy savoury exotic delights anytime, anywhere.
Speaking on the occasion, Abhinandan Dhoke, managing director, Bauli India, said, "The savoury snack market has witnessed a remarkable revolution and tremendous growth - Bauli is home to 100 years of passion for food. At first, it was all sweet and now, savoury too.”
“The Indian market has received our Moonfils, Spyrolls and Sandwich Cake with open arms since 2009 when we entered the West Bengal market. Therefore, we are so excited to introduce this new food category of 'Savoriz’ as they quickly become the next all-time favourite snack. We aim to be the go-to savoury snack in the innovative bakery category,” he added.
These exotic delights loaded with cheese, jalapeno, oregano other mouth-watering ingredients, are available for Rs 20 (52gms) across all omnichannel platforms such as Amazon, Big Basket as well as retail stores pan India.
The group is a third-generation family enterprise. It was established in 1922 in Verona by founder RuggeroBauli with a recipe for Pandoro. After almost 100 successful years, this traditional family company is now known and loved around the world. The products are sold in over 70 countries.
In 2009, it entered West Bengal through a joint venture to enter India. It started with the production of ready-to-eat, cream-filled snack Moonfils. After receiving an overwhelming response from the eastern India market, the company entered the rest of India with Bauli Moonfils. With the new savoury category, it aims to reach different cities of the country and take the advantage of first movers in this space with flavours to attract Indian consumers.
