The Comitrol® Processor series, manufactured by Urschel Laboratories, Inc., offers increased cost-savings by delivering increased edible yields. Widely used in the beverage industry, seafood industry, as well as the processing of fruits, vegetables, bakery and confectionery items, and various pharmaceuticals, the precision cutting principle of the Comitrol has proven to be a processing breakthrough.

By offering a wide variety of interchangeable cutting head styles and impellers, the Comitrol® Processor Model 1700 milling machine produces slices, flakes, shreds, viscous slurries, or purees from a myriad of products.

Popular beverage industry uses include the reduction of mango pulp and fibrous fruits. Pre-crushed fresh, ripe mango is easily fed into the machine equipped with a microcut head. This process disperses black spots, so they are not detectable in the final output producing added yield and reducing processors' costs. Fibrous fruits may be processed in the same manner to effectively reduce cell membrane. Benefits for the seafood industry include reduction of bones, peels, skins, and other fish parts for the production of pastes or flavorings. The Comitrol Processor Model 1700 also handles tough applications including the reduction of psyllium husks used in laxative products as well as the reduction of textured vegetable protein (t.v.p.).

Urschel Laboratories, Inc. manufactures 12 different models of Comitrol Processors. A free-of-charge, no-obligation product test cut is recommended to properly determine which set-up works best for your application.
