The Hotel and Restaurant Association of Western India (HRAWI) organised two more of Food Safety and Standards Authority of India’s (FSSAI) Food Safety Training and Certification (FoSTaC) programmes at Daman’s Mirasol Resort and Mumbai’s Hotel Ambassador recently.
These were a part of the series of training programmes. The programme trained and certified over 70 participants from the hospitality industry in Supervisory Training in Advance Catering Programme.
“Such efforts by FSSAI to impart right trainings to make the staff more aware about the food safety and hygiene are helping our members and their businesses to elevate their own brand standards and contribute to higher customer satisfaction,” said Gurbaxish Singh Kohli, president, HRAWI.
“The increase in the number of participation with every training programme conducted by the association acknowledges the need to conduct more of such programmes,” he added.
HRAWI has conducted a total of 23 FoSTaC programmes under which over 800 hospitality professionals have been trained and certified so far. The programme is one of the biggest and important initiatives by the FSSAI to raise awareness on food safety and improve the quality of food and beverages served at hotels and restaurants in the country.
