Leading dairy player Hatsun Agro Product Ltd (HAP), which has been witnessing a surge in the demand for its cattle feed brand, Santosa, has invested Rs 60 crore for the expansion of its existing manufacturing facility near Palani, Tamil Nadu.

The company, whose product portfolio includes such well-known brands as Arun, IBACO and Hatsun, has commenced operations at its cattle feed production facility, which has seen capacity addition with the introduction of a new production line.

The manufacturing plant near Palani came into operation last year, and within a short span of time, has undergone expansion to meet the growing demand for Santosa cattle feed.

The plant, which had the capacity to manufacture 550 metric ton of cattle feed per day, will, post-expansion, be able to add another 450 metric ton, thereby taking the total manufacturing capacity to 1,000 metric ton per day.

HAP’s expansion will help to cater to the growing requirements of its farming community across the states of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka and Maharashtra, and see to it that they are adequately supported in every possible way.

R G Chandramogan, chairman and managing director, HAP, said, “Cattle feed is a key component of our support service to farmers.”

“This expansion facilitates our intention for continuous and consistent support to our farmers, who seek good quality feed for their cattle,” he added.

“Our cattle feed has the best of ingredients and essential nutrients that improves the cattle’s health and milk yield,” Chandramogan said.

HAP conforms to high quality standards through latest equipment, providing highly nutritious and balanced feed for cattle.

It procures superior-quality raw materials from reliable and trusted suppliers. They are subjected to further tests under various parameters at high-tech quality labs and are used only upon certification by HAP’s highly-experienced quality team.

Apart from testing the raw materials, even finished products are tested to ensure that the highest standards of quality and norms are met. This, in turn, results in the best quality of raw milk yield from the cows.
