TE-A-ME, India’s widest range of tea and infusion bags from the house of Madhu Jayanti International Limited, the country’s largest tea bag manufacturer, has expanded its fruit and flower infusion range to include orange-ginger, strawberry cream and peppermint flavours.

Orange-ginger, with its flavour and aroma, rejuvenates the drinker. Strawberry cream is blended for occasions. The peppermint variants helps one relax.

According to the company, which is among the top five exporters of tea, the range helps to connect with the urban youth. There is a tea for every occasion and the beverage is positioned for consumption on different occasions.

TE-A-ME offers 20 variants of tea bags across five ranges of teas and infusions - signature black teas, natural green teas, aromatic spice teas, fruit and flower infusions and wellness infusions.

The range would be rolled out in select metros followed by a pan-India scale. It will be available at most of the supermarket chains and modern retail stores like Nature’s Basket, Le-March, Modern Bazaar, Haiku, Hypercity and Big Bazaar and leading hotel, restaurant and cafe (HoReCa) outlets.

It is offered in modern attractive envelope packs containing 25 tea bags. Each tea bag is in an individual sealed envelope to retain its freshness and aroma. The range is priced at Rs 225 per pack.

“Our range of fruit and flower infusions with three new brews aims to appeal to a new generation of tea drinkers. This category of consumers are slowly recognising the dynamism of the beverage and are keen to expand and diversify their palates, whilst not compromising on taste,” said Sumit Shah, executive director, Madhu Jayanti International Limited.

The Indian tea bag category is valued at approximately Rs 650 crore, is registering a growth rate of 25-30 per cent and has a penetration rate of a mere three per cent.
