India has been seeing an upward trend in all aspects of the economy and technology, which has kind of impacted people's lifestyles, from fashion to eating habits.

Over the decades, the change has been drastic. There has been a growing preference for global cuisine and drinks, from filter coffee to Kombucha to Dalgona Coffee. Emerging trends have encouraged consumers to experiment with recipes and reinvent the traditional taste of everyday foods, providing a significant boost to the food and beverage industry.

With the onset of the pandemic, people have become more health conscious, choosing drinks for their health benefits along with satisfying their taste buds. People have shifted away from visiting bars and cafes and toward home delivery and online shopping. There is a significant preference for health drinks that are high in vitamins and boost immunity, which is becoming popular.

The trends in the beverage sector that are predicted to emerge in the upcoming years are sustainability, wellness, alternatives made from plants, and personalisation. In recent years, specialty coffee shops and cafes that serve a variety of high-quality beverages have gained popularity, especially those that specialize in gourmet coffee. These kinds of establishments frequently concentrate on locating and roasting premium coffee beans and may provide a variety of brewing options, including pour-over, French press, and espresso. Gourmet drinks can encompass a wide variety of specialty drinks, such as fine teas, handcrafted beverages, and gourmet juices and smoothies.

These beverages might be served in a setting that is more sophisticated and frequently created with high-quality ingredients. They are probably going to persist as more and more customers look for these kinds of specialty goods.

Beverages that are likely to gain popularity among people are:

Plant-based milk substitutes like almond, soy, oat, and pea are becoming increasingly popular, particularly with young people and fitness buffs.

Functional drinks, which are alcoholic beverages that have particular health advantages, are anticipated to gain popularity as consumers continue to place a high priority on their well-being. Sports drinks, energy drinks, and protein drinks are a few examples of functional beverages.

Cocktails crafted by master mixologists with premium ingredients frequently have a distinctive or imaginative touch, and their popularity is predicted to increase.

Specialty teas like Matcha and turmeric tea are anticipated to grow in popularity, as consumers continue to look for tastier, more distinctive beverage options. It is anticipated that Kombucha, a probiotic-rich fermented tea beverage, would gain popularity as more consumers looked for practical and healthy solutions.

All in all, it is a happy time for beverage lovers, as there are options for every kind of connoisseur.
