Alimentaria & Horexpo Lisboa represents the birth of the major business platform in Portugal for the sectors of food, distribution, hotel and catering business and food technology. Alimentaria Lisboa, Horexpo and Tecnoalimentaria will be held together and every show will keep its own personality and will share synergies among each other. This new trade fair will take place from 27 to 30 March 2011 in FIL's venue (Feira Internacional de Lisboa).
Organised together by Alimentaria Exhibitions, the same company which organises Alimentaria Barcelona in Spain and Feira Internacional de Lisboa (FIL), Alimentaria Lisboa -- International Food Show -- is the undisputed leader in Portugal's exhibition field. Horexpo -- International Hospitality Exhibition-- has become in just five editions a great success with major perspectives of future. Tecnoalimentaria will offer machinery and technology of the food processing industry and equipment for the food trade, a sector with great potential of growth for the Portuguese market and especially for the countries of Portuguese influence.
The show foresees to occupy an approximate area of 45.000 m2 and expects to attract the presence of 800 companies and 30,000 professionals. Now, four months before the celebration of the fair, nearly 75% of the whole available space has been booked, which means the total area that occupied Alimentaria Lisboa 2009.
Alimentaria will be organised in five areas: food consumer products, wine, oil and regional products, frozen products and meats. Horexpo will offer equipment for hotels, restaurants and bakeries, coffee machines, textile decoration, vending, technology and services. Finally, Tecnoalimentaria will have the most complete offer in machinery and technology for the food processing, filling, packaging, logistics, maintenance and distribution.
Alimentaria & Horexpo Lisboa has a potential market of 223 million consumers across eight Portuguese speaking countries: Portugal, Brazil, Angola, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, Sao Tome and Principe and East Timor.
