Vinexpo Asia-Pacific 2010 will take place at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre from May 25 to 27, 2010.

After the success of the previous exhibitions in Hong Kong, Vinexpo Asia-Pacific is today recognised as the benchmark event in the region. The exhibition will represent the largest showcase of wines and spirits ever exhibited under one roof in Asia. Everything is being organised to ensure that the 3 days will generate business.

In order to accommodate a growing number of requests for stand space, Vinexpo decided to increase its overall exhibition area by adding an extra hall. This year, 750 exhibitors from around 30 countries will occupy 8,000 sq. m of floor space.

Companies from all over the world will exhibit individually or in national pavilions. The US, Spain, Chile and Germany will be significant participants. Sites have also been reserved for the Italian, Argentinean and Romanian pavilions, as well as for companies and regions of China and South Africa.

Amongst the major international names include Dynasty Fine Wines and Dragonet (China), Santa Rita and San Pedro (Chile), Henkell & Co (Germany), Cape Legends (South Africa), Marques de Riscal and Gonzalez-Byass (Spain), Sogrape (Portugal), Hayman Distillers (UK) and Banfi Distribuzione and Casa Vinicola Zonin (Italy).

The French producers from Bordeaux (Baron Philippe de Rothschild, Barton & Guestier, Castel Frères, Cordier-Mestrezat, Joanne, Veyret Latour), from Burgundy (Louis Jadot, Maison Louis La-tour, Patriarche), from Champagne (de Telmont), Alsace (Grands Chais de France), Languedoc (Jeanjean), Côtes du Rhône (Chapoutier), Sancerre (Henri Bourgeois), Cognac (Frapin, de Fussigny) and Gers (Tariquet, Joy Sélection) will be present in large numbers. Alongside these individual stands, a French pavilion to be managed by Sopexa, will also bring together many French wine-producing companies.

A unique opportunity to see products from all over the world in one place. The exhibition is for visitors from Asia-Pacific only and offers industry professionals a unique opportunity to find out about wines and spirits from all over the world in one single location. More than 9,000 professional visitors including importers, wholesalers, food & beverage managers, somme-liers, restaurateurs, hyper- and supermarket buyers, etc., are expected here at the very heart of this fast-developing region of consumers.

In 2010, the Vinexpo Academy will feature a number of specific themes, including the following: finding out about new products, improving tasting skills, pairing food and wine, learning new sales techniques and understanding how Asian markets work.

There will also be lectures, presentations and wine tasting sessions delivered by experts. In 2008, the tasting and conference rooms at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre attracted nearly 4,500 visitors.
