World Food Safety Day / Schoolchildren learn about milk safety

On June 6, 2026, Milon School, Nagaland, in collaboration with Native Foodscape Foundation, organised an educational visit to the DIMUL Central Dairy Plant as part of World Food Safety Day celebrations.
Designed for students in Classes VI to IX, the programme provided practical insights into the journey of milk from farm to table, highlighting the food safety, hygiene, quality assurance and testing measures that help ensure milk remains safe and nutritious for consumers.
Through guided tours and interactive learning activities, students gained a better understanding of the importance of safe food production and handling, reflecting the World Food Safety Day 2026 theme, ‘From burden to solutions: safe food everywhere’.
