After the resounding success of its inaugural season, Viva la Vino returns for season 2, bringing together wine lovers across the country. From October 2025 to February 2026, the festival travels to Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Jaipur, Goa, Kolkata and Mysore, with evenings of discovery that combine tastings, masterclasses, live music, gourmet pairings and a laid-back festival spirit.
More than a tasting, it is about building community. Guests are encouraged to explore wines in a relaxed, welcoming setting, while also discovering homegrown artisan producers of cheese and chocolate alongside celebrated wineries. The idea is simple: to get more people drinking and enjoying wines you can fall in love with, wines that spark curiosity, and wines you can simply have fun with. As the first wine festival in India with a multi-city presence, it takes the culture of wine to new corners of the country.
The festival was born from a conversation between two sommeliers who wanted to do more than just host tastings—they wanted to create a movement. Gargi Kothari, founder of Magic Cellars, has over a decade of experience in wine, is WSET level 3 certified, and has even given a TEDx talk on the subject. Devati Mallick, founder of Drink With D, is known for curating playful, culture-driven events where wine is exciting and approachable. Together, they envisioned a festival that is fun, inclusive and rooted in community, while still offering world-class experiences.
Season 2 raises the bar - Jaipur and Mysore join the line-up, while the metros—Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru—will see the largest gatherings of 300–350 guests. Smaller cities including Pune, Kolkata, Goa, Jaipur and Mysore will welcome between 100–175 wine lovers each. Guests can taste over 90 wines from names such as Fratelli Vineyards, Grover Vineyards, Sula / The Source, Frizzano, Monika Alcobev, Anggel’s Share, Aristol, La Cave, Rad Elan, Tannins, Fides, Northern Spirits, Sonarys, Chenab Alcobev, Tetrad Beverages and Pete’s Pure. The festival also proudly presents high-quality non-alcoholic wines by Dry Drnks, catering to the growing demand for mindful drinking. All the wines are thoughtfully presented in elegant Lucaris Crystal glassware, creating a seamless and elevated tasting experience.
Guests can complement their wine journey with artisan cheese from Melchior, The Cheese Collective, Kase Cheese and Spotted Cow Fromagerie, and craft chocolate from Naviluna, Pascati and Darkins.
The experience is designed to be unforgettable: walk-around tastings, a complimentary artisan cheese cup, craft chocolate stalls, and the chance to buy bottles at special festival prices. A limited-seating masterclass dives deeper with four premium wines, while live food stations and groovy music at venues such as JW Marriott UB City in Bengaluru, The Lalit in Delhi and JW Marriott in Pune complete the vibe.
