Veteran Verma appointed as director of operations at JW Marriott Pune

Vimal Verma has been appointed as director of operations at JW Marriott Pune. In his new role, he will be in-charge of ensuring smooth functioning at one of the most luxurious and iconic hotels in the city. A hospitality veteran, who has about 15 years’ experience in the industry, he has been associated with a number of upscale brands across India.
His previous stints as the director of operations at Andaz Delhi; director of food and beverage at Andaz Delhi; Hyatt Pune; Park Hyatt Chennai, and conference and banqueting manager at Hyatt Regency Delhi, have equipped him with the skills and aptitude to lead diverse and multi-cultural teams in achieving optimum efficiency and delivering top notch guest experiences.
At JW Marriott Pune, Verma will be overseeing all the operational aspects of the hotel and will be responsible for enhancing customer satisfaction.
He is an executive MBA in global management from IIM Calcutta, and a graduate of the Institute of Hotel Management, Mumbai.
Verma loves to travel, with London being his favourite city. He collects coasters and often travels to the destinations that list The World’s 50 Best Bars. Being an avid biker, he is often seen embarking on bike rides to different corners of India.
