Two held for manufacturing adulterated ginger-garlic paste in Hyderabad

The Commissioner’s Task Force and the Central Zone team in Hyderabad have arrested two men for manufacturing adulterated ginger-garlic paste.
The accused are local residents of Hyderabad, and were detained in Begum Bazar. The officials seized around 600 kilogram of adulterated ginger-garlic paste worth lakhs of rupees from the manufacturers.
The adulterated products and the accused have been held by the Begum Bazar Police for further investigation.
The Task Force along with local police officials have been conducting regular raids and inspection of food products in and around Begum Bazar area.
Earlier this year, Telangana Health Minister T Harish Rao had stated that the Task Force teams would conduct surprise inspections across the state. He also stated that strict action would be taken against FBOs that manufactured and sold adulterated food products.
