Third Wave Coffee, one of India’s fastest-growing specialty coffee chains, has officially entered Ahmedabad city with the launch of two cafés at CG Road and Prahlad Nagar—both bustling neighbourhoods known for their young, café-friendly audiences. With an existing outlet at the Ahmedabad airport, the new cafés deepen the brand’s presence in the region and strengthen its growing western India cluster, which includes Mumbai and Pune.

With more than 195 cafés across 12 cities, Third Wave Coffee’s entry into Ahmedabad marks a significant milestone in its national expansion. The move, the company says, is driven by rising consumer demand for premium coffee experiences and Ahmedabad’s evolving café culture.

“We are excited to bring Third Wave Coffee to Gujarat,” said Rajat Luthra, CEO, Third Wave Coffee. “Ahmedabad’s warmth, hospitality and increasing appetite for premium coffee align closely with our brand ethos. It is a natural step in our growth journey, and we look forward to earning the same affection here that we enjoy in our other markets.”

True to its coffee-first identity, the brand is introducing its signature specialty brews to local consumers, made using ethically sourced beans. In a first for the city, Third Wave Coffee has also launched an Ahmedabad-exclusive, 100% vegetarian menu tailored to local tastes. It features favourites such as Bun Maska and classic puffs, alongside indulgent offerings like Shrikhand Cheesecake, Biscoff Brownie, mousse cups, pastries and waffle selections. The café also offers artisanal sandwiches, wraps, pizzas and croissant sandwiches—designed to complement its beverage lineup while remaining familiar to Ahmedabad’s palate.

The new cafés feature warm, modern interiors with seating for more than 50 guests, making them suitable for work, casual meetings and leisurely conversations—an atmosphere the brand says is essential to its community-driven approach.

“As we expand nationally, our focus remains on championing great coffee and making it accessible, whether inside our cafés or at home,” Luthra added. “Growth for us means understanding local preferences and creating spaces where people can unwind and connect.”

With Ahmedabad’s café culture fuelled by a young, vibrant audience and a growing demand for premium, experience-led spaces, Third Wave Coffee sees the city as a key market in India’s rising specialty coffee landscape. The twin launches mark the beginning of a deeper engagement with Gujarat’s coffee lovers.
