The St Regis Mumbai unveils Maido, the reigning World No 1 on The World’s 50 Best Restaurants list, to India for the first time, with Masters of Marriott Bonvoy and Culinary Culture, in association with American Express. Led by chef-founder Mitsuharu “Micha” Tsumura, Maido will travel from Lima to Mumbai for two exclusive dinners at The St Regis Mumbai on September 25 and 26, 2026.
Diners will have the rare opportunity to experience Maido’s signature Nikkei cuisine, bringing together Micha’s Japanese heritage with the ingredients, flavours and culinary traditions of Peru. The tasting menu will feature signature dishes from Maido, prepared in Mumbai by chef Micha and his team at Koishii.
"Hello India! I am Chef Micha from Maido in Lima, Peru. Very soon my team and I will be flying from Lima to Mumbai, and it will be our first time in India. I am very interested in learning from your culture, your country and your cuisine, and it will be a pleasure to show you what we do at Maido. See you soon!" said chef Tsumura.
