Noida’s first Himalayan Cuisine Restaurant, serving special Sikkimese and Nepalese Dishes, Taste of Sikkim launches in Sector 18. With already 3 successful takeout/delivery outlets across Gurgaon, TOS has opened its first dine-in restaurant in Noida.
Talking about the journey of the brand, owner Pooja, founder of Taste of Sikkim, says, "In 2020, we started with a tiny kiosk in a housing society then after a Thela in a commercial place. After receiving a great response and love from our customers pertaining to the taste of our delicacies, we broadened our vision to reach out to more people with the Taste of Sikkim. Since opening our initial location in Vyapaar Kendra, we have grown to 3 takeout/delivery locations and will shortly launch in Airia mall too in Gurgaon.”
Taste of Sikkim serves exquisite home-style Sikkimese, Nepalese, and Himalayan cuisine with spices sourced directly from Sikkim, which adds an authentic and extravagant flavour to the food. Straight from the heartland of Sikkim, exotic spices like Dalley Khorsani and an exclusive beverage called Tongba, a drink that takes 4 days to be prepared, is served in a bamboo glass. The dishes that truly capture the flavour of Himalayan cuisine at TOS are authentic juicy momos with homemade sauces, Wai Wai Sadeko, La Phing, Aloo ka Achaar, Mutton Sekuwa, and Datchi with Tingmo.
Along with Sikkimese, Nepalese, and Himalayan cuisine, the outlet allows customers to choose from their special Chinese cuisine as well. In addition to this, the restaurant also serves authentic Nepali thali, MoThuk, Sha- Phalay, and Special Thukpas.
TOS plans to cover all major Indian cities in the next five years and is eyeing to launch 25 outlets by 2027. "At the moment we want to focus on India, but will not shy away from the plan of carving our footprints in the international market," Pooja said about efforts to take their brand global.
