Sula Vineyards is marking Raksha Bandhan with a curated selection of wines designed to complement sibling celebrations, shared meals and relaxed family gatherings. From bold reds and refreshing whites to sparkling Moscato and a sweet dessert wine, the range offers gifting options for different tastes and occasions.
For siblings who enjoy bold flavours and leisurely meals, RASA Syrah is positioned as a rich and layered choice. Made with 95% Syrah and 5% Viognier, it is matured in French oak barrels for 12 to 14 months and pairs with dishes such as red curry, nalli nihari, chicken tandoori tikka and paneer tandoori tikka. The wine has received a Gold Medal at the Paris Wine Cup 2023 and Best in Show at the Indian Wine Awards 2025.
For a sweeter and more playful celebration, The Source Moscato offers citrus, lychee and peach notes. Made using the Asti Method, the sparkling wine is positioned as a pairing for dishes ranging from chicken tikka masala and samosas to vendakkai fry and citrus salad. Sula describes it as India’s first and only Moscato, and it was also recognised at Asian Sparkling 2024.
Sula Muscat Blanc caters to those looking for a lighter option. The low-alcohol still wine is made from 100% Muscat grapes and carries aromas of lychee, rose petals and citrus. It pairs with butter garlic prawns, malai tikka, fresh summer salads and fruit tarts, making it suitable for a variety of Indian and Asian flavours.
For red wine enthusiasts, The Source Pinot Noir offers raspberry, cherry and subtle vanilla notes. The Source’s first Pinot Noir, it is designed as an approachable, fruit-forward wine with a smooth finish. Suggested pairings include baked salmon, kale salad, mushroom tikka and vegetable risotto.
The Source Chenin Blanc Reserve brings pear, pineapple and citrus notes to the Rakhi table. Made with 100% Chenin Blanc sourced from select estate vineyards and aged in oak barrels for a few months, the wine pairs with fish curry, paneer tikka, spinach ricotta ravioli, chicken hariyali and pesto pasta.
For those who prefer a sweet finish, Sula Late Harvest Chenin Blanc and features aromas of apricot, mango and raisins balanced by lively acidity. Made from 100% Chenin Blanc, the wine is positioned as a dessert pairing for cheesecake, panna cotta, qubani-ka-meetha, gulab jamun and blue cheese. Sula describes it as India’s first still dessert wine and the country’s first Late Harvest Chenin Blanc.
