SRM Institute of Hotel Management has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kamaxi Skills, Goa. The strategic collaboration enhances global learning opportunities and career pathways for students in the field of hospitality and culinary arts. Kamaxi Skills, headquartered in Goa, is widely recognised for its excellence in providing international exposure and job placements, particularly in leading cruise lines and global hospitality sectors. Through this partnership, two specialised six-month programs the International Culinary Program and the Global Bakery and Pastry Program, will be introduced and conducted at the SRM Institute of Hotel Management campus. The MoU was signed in the presence of Dr S Ponnusamy, registrar, SRM Institute of Science and Technology. Representing SRM Institute of Hotel Management, the agreement was signed by Dr D Antony Ashok Kumar. On behalf of Kamaxi Skills, the MoU was signed by Subhasis Mandal, principal of the institution, accompanied by. Sabina Dsouza, director of Programmes.
The course offers a dynamic platform for skill development aligned with global industry standards. The collaboration is expected to bring substantial academic enrichment by integrating international best practices into the curriculum, along with notable financial benefits to the institution. A key highlight of this partnership is the strong placement support provided through Kamaxi Skills, with opportunities in reputed cruise lines such as Oceania Cruises, Thomson Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Line, Margaretville Cruise Line, Viking Cruises, The Apollo Group, and Cordelia Cruises, and MSC Cruises. In addition, students will have access to international internships and placement opportunities across countries including the United Kingdom, Germany, Canada, and Australia.
