Billion Smiles Hospitality Pvt Ltd’s South Indian QSR (quick service restaurant) chain UpSouth launched an outlet in Wanowrie recently. It is the chain’s sixth outlet in Pune. The brand, which has a presence in Viman Nagar, Pune Airport, Aundh, Wakad and Phoenix Market City too, plans to launch more outlets in the city by the year end.

UpSouth offers great, authentic, delicious food with lightning speed of service in a hygienic and Live Kitchen atmosphere. Moreover, it is competitively priced and affordable - on an average, a patrons spends only Rs 80-90.

This is a self-service and sit-down restaurant. Its menu offers varieties of Idli and Dosa, Medu Wada, Uthappam, Filter Coffee, Paddu, South Indian Combos, meals and many more.

It also hosts its patented signature dishes, like Uthly, Malabari Parota Sandwich, Sabudana Cheese Vada, Elaneer Mousse, Mango Moksha and Healthy Super Grain Paratha.

“We are here to create a convenient, affordable, hygienic and quality driven South Indian QSR chain in upscale environment,” said Kumar Gaurav, vice-president, Billion Smiles Hospitality.

“We are looking forward to create an impactful presence in the Pune market through internal investments and franchising options,” he added.

“South Indian cuisine is recognised as one of the most popular cuisines, and as a product is also suitable for all-day dining. Hence a great opportunity for UpSouth to build a successful QSR format nationwide,” said Gaurav.

UpSouth is committed to bring Indian and South Indian vegetarian cuisine in a modern quick service format – with the highest level of quality in both products and services, at the lowest reasonable prices and in the most hygienic environment.

It makes its food from fresh ingredients, unlike large international chains, with their highly processed food at an industrial scale.

Manu R Nair, the chain’s corporate executive chef, said, “Keeping pace with modern world, UpSouth redefines the experience of Indian and South Indian cuisine for you with an upbeat and contemporary touch.”

“We bring healthy, delicious, fresh and wholesome Indian and South Indian vegetarian food in a modern format,” he added.
