Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan addressed young leaders during the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2026, reiterating the importance of purpose, commitment and collective responsibility in nation-building. The interaction took place as part of the pre-event proceedings of the Dialogue at Bharat Mandapam, which provided an interactive platform for emerging youth representatives to engage directly with senior policymakers.
The session focused on Track-wise Presentations before a panel of Union Ministers, where youth delegates from across India showcased innovative ideas, policy suggestions and grassroots initiatives. Presentations spanned key thematic areas, including building a sustainable and green Viksit Bharat, enhancing productivity through smart and sustainable agriculture, and fostering innovation rooted in tradition for a modern India. These discussions reflected the diversity of thought and problem-solving capabilities of the nation’s youth, aligning with India’s vision of inclusive and sustainable development.
Addressing the participants, Chouhan emphasised the value of purposeful living and social responsibility. Drawing inspiration from India’s civilisational ethos, he said life finds deeper meaning when dedicated to serving society and the nation. He urged the young leaders to pursue ambitious goals with discipline, focus and resilience, underlining these traits as essential qualities of effective leadership. In his remarks, he also acknowledged the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for creating platforms that amplify meaningful youth participation in national progress.
The Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2026, organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports through the MY Bharat platform, aims to institutionalise youth engagement in governance, policy formulation and national discourse. The successful conduct of the interaction at Bharat Mandapam reaffirms the Government of India’s commitment to recognising young citizens as key stakeholders in the country’s journey toward becoming a developed nation.
