The inaugural edition of Salon du Chocolat India concluded on a high note recently at the Jio World Convention Centre, establishing a new benchmark for luxury chocolate experiences in the country. Organised by FourPlus Media, the two-day showcase brought the globally renowned chocolate and pastry platform to India in its full international format.
The event featured 47 exhibitors and 80 brands from India, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany and France, attracting over 5,462 visitors. Designed as a B2B2C platform, the show blended business networking, education, artistry and immersive consumer engagement, positioning chocolate as both craft and contemporary luxury.
A major highlight was the globally celebrated Chocolate Fashion Show, supported by the Western India Culinary Association (WICA). Visionary chocolatier Chef Anil Rohira and creative curator Farzana Gandhi transformed chocolate into wearable couture, merging gastronomy with high fashion in a visually striking runway presentation.
Artistic expression extended to large-scale installations, including a 200 kg life-size chocolate sculpture by artist Rintu Kalyani Rathod. WICA also curated a special showcase, “Cacao & Concrete – Mumbai in Chocolate,” capturing the city’s urban spirit through edible art.
Education formed a key pillar of the event, with masterclasses and talk sessions exploring sustainability, bean-to-bar innovation, cocoa sourcing and premium consumer trends. Industry leaders, including Nikki Thakker of Entisi and Prathik Deshmukh of Callebaut Chocolate Academy India, contributed global insights to the discussions.
Visitor response was overwhelmingly positive, with a satisfaction rating of 4.6 out of 5. Exhibitors reported strong engagement and high rebooking intent.
Building on its successful debut, Salon du Chocolat India will return on 16–17 January 2027, aiming to further expand international participation and industry integration.
