Planteneers bridges the gap between plant-based & high-protein trends

As global consumer demand for protein reaches new heights, plant-based pioneer Planteneers has unveiled a suite of innovative product concepts designed to merge high-protein functionality with dairy-free indulgence. The announcement comes as Innova Market Insights identifies "Powerhouse Protein" as a top trend for 2026, with three out of five consumers worldwide actively increasing their protein intake. The Hamburg-based company is targeting three high-growth categories: indulgent snacks, meal replacement drinks, and high-protein puddings.
Leading the rollout is the fiildDairy NEB series, a high-protein drink system featuring a 6% protein content derived from fava beans and peas. Designed for health-conscious consumers, the beverages contain no added sugar, are naturally lactose-free, and feature less than one gram of saturated fatty acids per 100ml.
In collaboration with its sister company, SternVitamin, Planteneers has developed a version that functions as a complete meal replacement. A single 500ml serving provides 20% of the daily recommended macronutrients and 25% of essential vitamins and minerals, offering manufacturers a shelf-stable solution for the functional beverage market.
Planteneers is also addressing the "Layers of Delight" trend—which saw 26% growth last year—with a new functional system for plant-based puddings. These concepts allow for a flexible protein content of up to 10% and are available in carrageenan-free versions.
The puddings boast a creamy, authentic texture in traditional favorites like chocolate and hazelnut, as well as on-trend flavors such as Salted Caramel and Cookies. By focusing on "healthier indulgence," these systems enable manufacturers to capture the growing segment of consumers seeking mood-boosting snacks that align with their nutritional goals.
With these new systems, Planteneers provides the technical foundation for brands to scale rapidly in the plant-based sector while meeting the rising "Powerhouse Protein" expectations of 2026.
