Parle Products launches Mexitos, a new brand in nacho chips, at Rs 20, 50

fiogf49gjkf0d Parle Products, a leading player in biscuit and confectionery manufacturing segment, has announced the launch of ‘Mexitos’ – a new brand in the nacho chips segment.
According to the company, with the launch of the new brand, it has entered the premium snacking category. Though nacho chips are a product of the Western markets, the company has launched flavours which suit the Indian palate very well; the chips are available in two varieties - Classic Salted & Salsa Tomatino.
Commenting on the new range of chips, B Krishna Rao, deputy marketing manager, Parle Products, said, “Currently, Indian consumers’ exposure to nacho chips is limited to multiplexes & few restaurants. However, there is an increasing demand for Mexican cuisine in our country. We are looking to tap this market with Mexitos. We did an extensive research on what our prospects want and are proud to present - Mexitos Nacho chips – ‘The Original Mexican Recipe.’ This is a unique product in our snacks portfolio and will facilitate the role of a category builder in India.”
The product is made from imported international quality corn flour. The packaging is bright, attractive and colourful with an enticing look. The chips pair well with combination of various dips like salsa and cheese dips and are used to make various interesting Mexican recipes. The product will be available in all leading outlets across India at price points of Rs 20 and Rs 50.
