International cafe chain Papparoti, known for its Italian fare, coffee, beverages and desserts and has a presence in over 32 countries, is set to launch its flagship cafe in Mumbai on the ground floor of Trade View, Kamala City, Lower Parel, on January 6, 2018. Open between 10am and 11pm, the average cost of a meal for two people would be approximately Rs 800.

Papparoti’s most popular offerings are freshly-baked buns that have a crisp, thin crust topped with a mild coffee-caramel coating and a butter-filled centre. They are made using flour and Omega-3-enriched eggs and with a special recipe. The choice of toppings includes Lotus biscuits, Nutella, hazelnut, honey, cheese, dark chocolate and toffee.

The brand’s licensee holders in India, Kunal and Nitin Jethwani, are avid travellers. They visited Papparoti in Dubai and loved the concept of the brand, which was loved by most Indians. They were passionate to bring this to India.

Nitin Jethwani said, “We look forward to launch Mumbai’s first flagship café at Kamala City with the aim of providing people of all ages in the city a new address to chill out and enjoy the world-famous Pappa buns.”

“The magic begins from the moment you take a first bite of the crispy outer layer of the bun which is derived from a creamy concoction. The interiors and exteriors of the cafe gives an international feel with a lots of element of nature smartly tucked in,” he added.

First launched first in Malaysia in 2003, the brand has a presence all over the world, with 407 outlets and kiosks across Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, the United Kingdom, Australia, China, Vietnam, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bangladesh and now in India. The first Papparoti Cafe in India opened at Hyderabad’s Jubilee Hills earlier this year.
