Neeti Goel launched Ostaad, her fourth venture in the F&B industry, introducing Central Asian cuisine for the first time to Mumbai. Located in the heart of Mumbai, the restaurant serves the cuisines of Balochistan, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan etc.
Neeti and Pranay Goel said, “Our fine dine venue will open up a lot of never-tried-before tastes and unique flavours to the guests. We are looking forward for Mumbaikars to try Central Asian cuisine for the first time. We are all set to take our guests on a gastronomical journey”.
The menu boasts specialty non-vegetarian dishes like the Adana Seekh, Barraha Kebab, Kadak Seekh and different types of Raan, and vegetarian ones like the Kalem Boregi, Spanakopita, Tajik Mushrooms, Mushroom Baklawa and Umali.
The restaurant will also serve specialty breads like Afghan Kameri, Taftan and Bakharkani and desserts like Al Shariya, Gul Firdaus and Baklawa, with a separate section in the kitchen for vegetarians and Jain cooking.
The ingredient-based drink menu comprises Iranian Berry Sangria, Dates and Cheese Martini, the Ishtafan Rose (which is a mix of botanicals, pistachio and rose water in perfect harmony with gin), Pan Mojito, Wise Cardamom, etc.
Ostaad’s kebabs marinated in Iranian spices to give the same flavours and textures. The core team consists of three head chefs, each a master in his own field, and an expat chef from Afghanistan.
