Nestlé India has commissioned a new Maggi Noodles production line at its Sanand facility in Gujarat, as part of its ongoing capital expenditure programme.
The move comes amid growing consumer demand for the iconic instant noodles brand and aims to enhance the company’s manufacturing capabilities in India. The Sanand factory, which currently operates at 80 percent capacity with an annual output of approximately 1,21,000 tonnes, will see an additional capacity of 20,600 tonne per annum once the new line is operational.
The Rs 85 crore investment for the project will be financed entirely through internal accruals and is expected to be completed by FY 2025–26. This expansion is in line with its broader strategy to scale capacity through both greenfield and brownfield projects planned from 2020 to 2025. By bolstering output at Sanand, it aims to ensure greater supply chain resilience while meeting nationwide demand for Maggi.
