Nagrale conferred honorary doctorate by National American University

An honorary doctorate in supply chain management was conferred on Nitin Nagrale, vice-president, materials and projects, Foodlink Services, by the National American University.
He was recognised for his extraordinary contributions and excellence in the field at the convocation ceremony, held recently at the Embassy of Russian Federation (RCSC), New Delhi.
Nagrale has been associated with Foodlink Services for over two-and-a-half years. He is a visionary procurement strategist and pre-opening procurement specialist for luxury hotels in India and South-East Asia.
A masters’ in marketing management from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies in Mumbai, a Diploma in Materials Management from IIMM Bangalore and a Diploma in Hotel Management-Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition from IHM, combined with an illustrious career of over 25 years in prestigious hospitality brands like the Taj, Grand Hyatt, Starwood’s Westin and Accor’s Sofitel, has earned him prestigious awards like:
- Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Lifetime Achievement Award 2018 at Bangalore
- Hall of Fame Award - Outstanding Contribution to the Hospitality Industry 2018 by Trinity at Goa
- Top 50 Innovation Leaders 2018 by BTVI
Nagrale is the first person in the World to have completed the certified hotel purchase manager certification course from the American Hotel and Lodging Education Institute (AHLEI).
He founded the Hospitality Purchasing Managers’ Forum in India – the first-ever platform to converge over 2,600 buyers from hospitality industry.
Nagrale is highly revered as an advisory board member of various organisations like SIAL, Indian Food Delegation, India International Hospitality Expo (IHE) and IDE Global, and has recently been appointed as national president, Policy Development and Research Cell, by the Human Rights and Social Justice Committee, New Delhi.
