Mother Dairy is gearing up for a strong summer season, forecasting a 30 per cent rise in sales across its key product categories as rising temperatures drive consumer demand. The company said that the early onset of warmer weather is expected to significantly boost demand for ice creams, curd and dairy beverages over the coming months.

Speaking on the outlook, Jayatheertha Chary, deputy managing director of Mother Dairy, noted that the steady increase in temperatures signals a “promising” summer for the dairy sector as a whole. He said the company is fully prepared to meet the uptick in demand, with enhanced production capacity, a strengthened cold chain infrastructure, and early mobilisation of assets to ensure supply readiness.

Innovation and localisation are central to Mother Dairy’s summer strategy, Chary added. The company plans to roll out nearly 30 new products, aiming to appeal to a broad range of consumer preferences. New offerings include industry-first formats like 2-in-1 Matka and Tubs, indulgent premium cups and cones in exciting flavours, and a line of low-calorie ice creams. In addition, the brand will introduce regional favourites such as Jamun Yoghurt, Shrikhand, and Pista & Rabri to capture local tastes and enhance seasonal engagement.

To kick off the summer season, Mother Dairy has already launched a brand campaign tied to the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, with plans to deepen consumer engagement throughout the warmer months. The campaign is expected to bolster the brand’s relevance in key markets as it capitalises on heightened consumer attention and seasonal trends.

With these preparations, the company aims not only to meet increased demand but also to reinforce its position in India’s competitive dairy and frozen dessert market.
